As part of the engineering and design team,the outside plant designer will be engaged in the following activities:

• Access Optus live databases/systemslike Helix, Mapblaster, SpatialWeb, U2000, Projen, etc. for serviceprovisioning to Add, Modify or Decommissioning of services
• Need to design or data fill theDirect line, Multi-line, Voice and other IP-VPN products across the accesstypes
• Prepares Field InspectionReports and Land Access and Statutory Approvals documentation
• Ensure area plans, detaileddesigns and documentation created meets defined quality standards
• Ensure the timely delivery ofcustomer service orders within the defined time lines
• Actively seek feedback fromsenior designers and provide recommendations on planning and design procedureimprovement
• Assist the team in providing inputs for processimprovement and optimise the design rules

• 1 to 3 years of experience in planning,design and detailed documentation of communications' OSP networks
• Understanding of networkingconcepts, IP addressing and Subnet Masking, Network Switches and Routers
• Networking certifications suchas CCNA/CCNP are highly preferable
• Understanding of direct fiberaccess network that includes active and passive devices
• Understanding of aerial,underground and intra-building designs standards of NBN will be an addedadvantage
• Working experience on Optusdatabase and systems such as Helix, Mapblaster, SpatialWeb, U2000, etc. ispreferable
• Working experience on livespatial and non-spatial systems is highly preferable
• Knowledge of GIS relatedplatforms, systems and tools such as MapInfo and AutoCAD Map
• Good command over technical writing anddocumentation skills
