Job Description

Immediate need for a talented Transition Program Manager. This is a 06-12+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in John Creeks, GA (Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $65 - $70/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:

  • Transition Program Leadership
  • Work with Transition Director to setup framework for program and lead Joint Transition Planning sessions (planned for mid-October).
  • Drive completion of transition milestones, deliverables, tollgates, and readiness activities.
  • Track and monitor overall program progress against agreed timelines and transition objectives.
  • Identify, escalate, and help resolve risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers impacting program success.
  • Governance & Communications
  • Lead daily transition stand-up meetings and drive timely resolution of action items and impediments.
  • Consolidate inputs from teams, vendors, and transition leads into a comprehensive Weekly Status Report (WSR).
  • Distribute executive-ready program communications.
  • Participate in weekly transition governance meetings and provide accurate reporting of progress, milestones, risks, and decisions.
  • Participate in weekly Vice President governance meetings as required and in coordination with the Transition Director lead if the Transition Director is unavailable
  • Document key decisions, actions, escalations, and executive directives.
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Management
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day coordination point between Client stakeholders, vendors, and transition participants.
  • Proactively follow up with workstream leads and vendors to ensure commitments are delivered on schedule.
  • Drive accountability for action items, knowledge transfer activities, readiness assessments, and transition deliverables.
  • Escalate unresolved issues through appropriate governance channels.
  • Reporting & Controls
  • Maintain the program status reports.
  • Other deliverables will be managed by vendor Transition Leads.
  • May be additional responsibilities depending on program needs
  • Develop executive dashboards highlighting milestone achievement, risks, resource readiness, and transition progress.
  • Client has a template for this that can be modified as needed.
  • Support preparation of executive steering committee materials and leadership presentations.
  • Program Support
  • Partner closely with the Transition Director to coordinate overall program strategy and execution.
  • Support transition planning, onboarding activities, operational readiness reviews, and stabilization efforts.
  • Assist in preparing leadership updates and executive communications.
  • Drive continuous improvement of transition processes, governance practices, and reporting standards.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

  • 7+ years of program management, project management, transition management, or PMO experience.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale technology, managed services, outsourcing, or vendor transition initiatives.
  • Strong experience managing cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating executive governance forums and stakeholder communications.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with technology outsourcing transitions, managed services migrations, or operating model transformations.
  • Experience working with large system integrators and technology vendors.
