Product Research Assistant

Location: Beaverton, Oregon (Hybrid: onsite Monday-Thursdays and can work from home on Fridays)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Product Research Assistant to support studies investigating how products translate to an athlete's benefit and performance. This role involves direct interaction with human subjects and athletes to execute research protocols. The position requires a self-starter who is organized, personable, and comfortable working with some ambiguity in a dynamic research environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute human research studies by interacting directly with participants.
  • Apply EEG caps to participants according to established protocols.
  • Ensure research data is recorded accurately and stored properly.
  • Perform data cleaning and conduct preliminary analysis.
  • Collaborate with a team of researchers on the perception science team.
  • Utilize neuroimaging tools for application to human participants.
  • Conduct basic research and analysis as required by study designs.
Required Qualifications

Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. A Master's degree, preferably in neuroscience, is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience is required for candidates with a Bachelor's degree. A minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience is required for candidates with a Master's degree.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in executing human research, familiarity with neuroimaging tools, and the ability to conduct basic research and analysis are required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with running EEG studies.
  • Experience working directly with athletes.
  • Experience in sensory perception research.
Work Environment

This is a hybrid role based in Beaverton, Oregon, with a general 4/1 schedule. Some on-site work on Fridays may be required based on business needs. The role involves working with a direct team of approximately two other researchers and a broader perception science team of about five others.
