COBOL Developer

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in COBOL, IBM DB2, CICS, and other related technologies, as well as excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Support mainframe modernization, migration, and COBOL application refactoring.
• Maintain existing COBOL applications supporting inmate systems, finance, contracts, and procurement.
• Support UAT and migration activities involving Micro Focus Enterprise Server.
• Collaborate closely with business users and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

Must-Have Requirements:

• 6+ years of hands-on COBOL and CICS experience.
• 6+ years of JCL, including PROCs and external sorts.
• 4+ years of DB2 and VSAM experience.
• Hands-on experience with Micro Focus Enterprise Developer and Enterprise Server.
• Experience with Visual Studio or Eclipse IDE.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
