Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager with a strong MERN stack background and proven engineering leadership experience. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end software delivery, drive application modernization, and build high-performing engineering teams while ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software delivery across planning, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and production readiness.
• Build, mentor, and manage engineering teams, including technical leads and senior engineers.
• Partner with solution architects to ensure alignment with architecture standards and engineering best practices.
• Drive application modernization using cloud-native technologies, APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.
• Oversee delivery plans, priorities, dependencies, risks, technical debt, and engineering blockers.
• Ensure code quality, application security, performance, scalability, reliability, and observability.
• Collaborate with Business, Architecture, Platform, SRE, Security, and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Lead production readiness and legacy-to-modern platform migration initiatives.
• Communicate delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and engineering health to stakeholders.
• Promote engineering excellence, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar software engineering leadership role.
• Strong technical background in the MERN stack: MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.
• Experience leading application modernization and complex, cross-team software delivery.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms, APIs, microservices, and modern software architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and DevSecOps practices.
• Demonstrated people management, technical leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to service mesh technologies such as Istio.
• Experience with event streaming and messaging platforms such as Kafka.
• Familiarity with database change management tools such as Liquibase.
• Experience with deployment automation, production operations, SRE, and observability practices.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as Claude and SDD (Specification-Driven Development) practices.
• Experience driving cloud-native engineering transformation and legacy modernization.
