Pipefitter | Helensburgh, United Kingdom | On-site | £38,662 - plus 33% shift allowance This employer is a leading global defence, aerospace, and security company, known for delivering advanced technology solutions and pioneering progress. The Role • Fabricate and install pipework systems (small and large bore) using various materials including copper, cuni, carbon steel, and stainless steel. • Utilize hand tools and mechanical equipment for cutting, bending, and welding pipes, as well as for installation. • Install utilities aboard vessels such as sinks, showers, and toilets. • Assemble and install fittings, valves, and related components according to technical drawings and specifications. • Collaborate with other trades to ensure project timelines and accuracy. • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company procedures. What You'll Need • A Modern Apprenticeship or Trade Papers (SVQ3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification) presented upon application. • Proven experience in pipe manufacturing and installation, including proficiency with tools and equipment used in major projects. • Solid understanding of pipefitting methods, safe working practices, and trade-standard techniques. • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, pipework diagrams, and technical specifications. • Knowledge and application of SHE, COSHH, and risk assessment requirements. • Previous experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar trade within an industrial or commercial setting.
