The Role
- Fabricate and install pipework systems of varying sizes and materials, including copper, cuni, carbon steel, and stainless steel.
- Utilize a range of hand and mechanical tools for cutting, bending, and welding pipes, as well as for installation.
- Install utilities such as sinks, showers, and toilets aboard vessels.
- Assemble fittings, valves, and related components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with other trades to ensure project timelines are met.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company procedures.
What You'll Need
- Hold a Modern Apprenticeship or Trade Papers (SVQ3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification).
- Proven experience in pipe manufacturing and installation, with proficiency in relevant tools and equipment for major projects.
- Solid understanding of pipefitting methodologies, safe working practices, and trade-standard techniques.
- Ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings, pipework diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of SHE, COSHH, and risk assessment requirements, with consistent application on the job.
- Prior experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar trade within an industrial or commercial setting.
