The Role • Fabricate and install pipework systems of various sizes and materials (copper, cuni, carbon steel, stainless steel). • Utilize hand tools and mechanical equipment for cutting, bending, welding, and installing pipes. • Install utilities aboard vessels, including sinks, showers, and toilets. • Assemble fittings, valves, and related components according to engineering drawings and specifications. • Collaborate with other trades to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met. • Adhere to strict safety regulations, company procedures, and maintain accurate work records. What You'll Need • A Modern Apprenticeship or Trade Papers (SVQ3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification) is essential. • Proven experience in pipe manufacture and installation using relevant tools and equipment on major projects. • Solid understanding of pipefitting methods, safe working practices, and trade-standard techniques. • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, pipework diagrams, and technical specifications. • Knowledge of SHE, COSHH, and risk assessment requirements, with consistent application on the job. • Previous experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar trade within an industrial or commercial setting.
