Oracle APEX Developers (US Cit / PR to pass security clearance)

We are seeking to hire several Oracle APEX Developers to join our teams working on a new multi-year award we have within a Federal Gov’t Agency.  These roles are 100% remote.

Being a US Cit or Permanent Resident is required for passing the security clearance to work on this program.

This position pays a strong salary package with full benefits (including choice of healthcare plans, dental, vision, life insurance, 3 weeks PTO, 11 Paid Federal Holidays, and a matching 401k).

An option for working on an hourly rate is also available for those not needing a full benefits package.

Role Title: Oracle APEX Developer

Experience Level: 3–5 years

Project Focus: Application Modernization & Migration from Legacy .NET to Oracle APEX

Role Summary:

The Oracle APEX Developer supports the development, enhancement, and migration of applications from a legacy .NET codebase into Oracle APEX. This role builds APEX pages, UI components, backend PL/SQL logic, and integrations while collaborating with senior developers, business analysts, and supporting technical teams. The developer works within established APEX patterns and standards, contributing to new feature development and re-platforming activities as part of the modernization program.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Development & Migration

·        Build APEX pages, forms, reports, interactive grids, dynamic actions, and workflow logic.

·        Translate .NET application logic and business rules into APEX components and PL/SQL code.

·        Develop and maintain PL/SQL packages, functions, validations, and application processes.

·        Implement reusable user interface components, shared components, templates, and standardized UI elements.

·        Support modernization efforts by migrating legacy functionality into scalable, maintainable APEX applications.

Integration & Data

·        Integrate APEX applications with RESTful APIs, ORDS services, and backend data sources.

·        Work with Data/ETL Engineers to understand data structures, optimize SQL queries, and validate data accuracy.

·        Support data correctness testing for new transformations and data flows that impact APEX functionality.

Quality, Debugging & Performance

·        Troubleshoot application issues using APEX debugging tools, browser developer tools, and server logs.

·        Optimize SQL queries, page load behavior, and UI interactions for scalability and responsiveness.

·        Apply secure coding practices and adhere to governance standards for authentication, authorization, and data protection.

·        Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and release materials to support long-term maintainability.

Collaboration & Agile Delivery

·        Work within Agile delivery teams, participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and demos.

·        Partner with senior developers, QA testers, business analysts, and platform teams to deliver integrated solutions.

·        Collaborate with UI/UX and architecture teams to ensure adherence to design patterns and platform standards.

Required Qualifications:

·        3–5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle APEX development.

·        Proficiency with APEX page components, dynamic actions, interactive reports/grids, and page processes.

·        Strong SQL and PL/SQL development skills, including debugging and performance tuning.

·        Experience integrating APEX applications with REST APIs and ORDS.

·        Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for APEX customization.

·        Ability to troubleshoot issues using APEX utilities and browser inspection tools.

·        Experience working in collaborative Agile environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

·        Experience supporting re-platforming or modernization projects (e.g., .NET - APEX).

·        Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle Autonomous Database.

·        Experience with APEX plug-ins, theme/template customization, or UI extension patterns.

·        Exposure to AI/GenAI-enabled features inside APEX interfaces.

·        Experience with DevOps pipelines or CI/CD tooling supporting APEX deployments.
