About the role

The Business Analyst supports the Product Owner on D1 Connect, translating business needs into clear, testable requirements and guiding them through delivery, UAT, and rollout.

Responsibilities

Requirements & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Lead discovery with business users and subject matter experts through interviews, workshops, and observation of current processes.

  • Proactively follow up with stakeholders to close gaps, resolve conflicting needs, and confirm decisions.

  • Document current and future state processes and identify operational impacts of proposed changes.

  • Write clear user stories with testable acceptance criteria, business rules, and process flows.

Agile Delivery

  • Partner with the Product Owner to refine and prioritize the backlog.

  • Run Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews.

  • Serve as the day-to-day bridge between the business and the delivery team, answering questions and clarifying scope.

  • Track open questions, dependencies, and risks and raise them early.

UAT & Rollout

  • Plan and coordinate User Acceptance Testing, including test scenarios, scheduling business testers, defect triage, and sign-off.

  • Support rollout planning, including user communications, training materials, quick-reference guides, and go-live support.

  • Gather post-launch feedback and turn it into backlog improvements.

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or Agile/Scrum certification preferred.

Knowledge & Experience

  • 4+ years of business analysis experience on software applications or digital products. Demonstrated quality of work matters more than years.

  • Proven experience eliciting requirements from business stakeholders and writing user stories with acceptance criteria.

  • Hands-on experience running Scrum ceremonies in an Agile environment.

  • Experience planning and coordinating UAT and supporting production rollouts.

  • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar tools.

  • Experience with vendor or supplier portals, ERP, procurement, or accounts payable processes preferred.

  • Experience in fuel, logistics, supply chain, or another B2B operational environment preferred.

Qualifications & Characteristics

  • Personable and confident communicator who can get clear answers from busy or hard-to-reach stakeholders.

  • Able to explain technical concepts to business users and business needs to technical teams.

  • Strong follow-through: owns open questions until they are resolved.

  • Adapts quickly to changing priorities and picks up new business domains fast.

  • Positive, accountable attitude and a strong service orientation.
