Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)
Location: Plano, TX
Experience: 12+ Years
Employment Type: Contract
Work Authorization / Engagement: Strictly W2 Only – No C2C

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) with 12+ years of software development experience to design, develop, and deploy scalable Java-based backend services and modern frontend applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, AWS cloud services, modern UI frameworks, API development, and AI-assisted software development tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, resilient, and fault-tolerant Java microservices and distributed systems.

  • Build backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Apache Camel, and Spring AI.

  • Develop modern frontend applications using React, Next.js, Vue.js, or other modern UI frameworks.

  • Design and implement REST APIs, GraphQL APIs, and event-driven integrations.

  • Generate and maintain Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.

  • Develop and deploy cloud-native applications using AWS services, including ECS, Fargate, IAM, VPC, and serverless components.

  • Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Cursor to improve development productivity.

  • Integrate Amazon Bedrock or similar AI/ML services into applications.

  • Implement application monitoring, logging, metrics, distributed tracing, and auditing using Splunk or Dynatrace.

  • Work with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Docker Compose.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable software solutions.

Required Technical Skills

  • Backend: Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Apache Camel, Spring AI.

  • Frontend: React, Next.js, Nuxt.js, Vue.js, Astro, or Svelte.

  • Cloud: AWS, ECS, Fargate, IAM, VPC, serverless services.

  • Architecture: Microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architecture.

  • APIs: REST, GraphQL, Swagger/OpenAPI.

  • Observability: Splunk or Dynatrace, logging, metrics, distributed tracing.

  • AI Tools: GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar AI-assisted coding tools.

  • AI/ML Integration: Amazon Bedrock or similar services.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Solutions Architect certification.

  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Docker Compose.

  • Experience building and deploying production-grade cloud-native applications.

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Candidate Requirements

  • 12+ years of overall software engineering experience.

  • Strong hands-on experience in Java full-stack development.

  • Must be able to work on a strict W2 basis only.

  • C2C and third-party submissions are not accepted.

  • Location: Plano, TX.
