Job Description

Job Description
Job Description
Inside Sales Representative - Commercial & Industrial Plumbing Supply
This direct-hire Inside Sales Representative will support a well-established plumbing supply operation serving commercial, industrial, and manufacturing customers throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth market. The role owns the order-and-quote process from the sales desk, helping contractors and facility customers get the correct materials, pricing, availability, and follow-through needed to keep projects moving.
The best fit is a career inside-sales professional who already understands plumbing supply distribution and wants to remain in inside sales. This is not an outside-sales training role, and residential-only plumbing experience will not provide the product or customer depth needed.

Location

Dallas, Texas
Schedule:
Monday through Friday
Work Setting:
Onsite
Role Type:
Direct hire
Compensation:
$60,000-$90,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus bonus eligibility; no commission plan
Benefits
100% employer-paid health insurance for the employee
Spouse/family health coverage available with an additional $590 employee contribution
Optional dental and vision coverage available for $52 per month
401(k) with the possibility of an annual employer match
Bonus opportunity in addition to base salary; this role is not commission-based
Responsibilities
Handle inbound customer needs, prepare quotes, enter orders, process returns, and maintain accurate order documentation.

Support commercial plumbing contractors, mechanical contractors, industrial facilities, and manufacturing customers with pricing, availability, product selection, and order status. Review orders for completeness and catch missing pipe, valves, fittings, fixtures, accessories, or related materials before they affect the job. Use Eclipse/Solar or a comparable distribution ERP to manage quotes, sales orders, pricing, inventory availability, customer history, and returns. Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, delivery, and vendor teams to meet project schedules and customer commitments.

Track backorders, substitutions, lead times, and special-order items, communicating changes before they become customer problems. Resolve product, shipment, pricing, and order issues with urgency and clear ownership. Build trusted relationships with customers who expect a knowledgeable and responsive sales-desk partner. Maintain current knowledge of product lines, manufacturers, applications, and vendor offerings. Qualifications
Inside-sales experience with a plumbing supply company, PVF distributor, or closely comparable commercial/industrial supply house.

Working knowledge of commercial, industrial, or manufacturing plumbing materials and how those products are used in the field. Experience preparing quotes and managing orders, returns, availability, backorders, and customer follow-up. Ability to identify gaps in a material request and recommend the correct related components. Experience with Eclipse/Solar or a comparable distribution ERP. Strong customer communication, accuracy, urgency, and follow-through. Current residence within DFW and ability to work onsite in Dallas; relocation is not available.

Genuine interest in building a long-term inside-sales career rather than using the position to move into outside sales.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting commercial plumbing contractors, mechanical contractors, industrial plants, or manufacturing facilities.
Familiarity with pipe, valves, fittings, fixtures, water heaters, pumps, supports, specialties, and related commercial plumbing products.
Experience building multi-line project quotes, sourcing substitutions, and coordinating special-order materials.
