Human Resources Generalist Position Summary
:
Midwest Recreational Clearinghouse is now hiring a Human Resources Generalist.
The Human Resources Generalist (Multi-State) will support and manage HR operations across multiple states, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws. This position will play a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture, managing employee relations, overseeing benefits and payroll, and supporting organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of multi-state employment laws and the ability to adapt HR strategies to meet diverse regulatory and workforce needs.

Employee Relations
:
Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees across all locations.
Investigate and resolve workplace issues in compliance with state-specific laws and company policies.
Ensure the company adheres to all federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., Payroll and Benefits Administration
:
Manage multi-state tax requirements, unemployment insurance, and other payroll-related needs.
Oversee state-specific benefits programs, such as paid family leave or disability benefits.

Recruitment and Onboarding
:
Coordinate hiring efforts across multiple states, ensuring compliance with local hiring practices.
Create and execute onboarding programs tailored to regional and remote employees.

Training and Development
:
Develop and deliver training programs that meet the needs of employees across various states.
Ensure compliance with state-mandated training requirements (e.g., Policy Development and Implementation
:
Draft, review, and update company policies to include state-specific addenda.
Communicate policy updates effectively across all locations.

HR Reporting and Metrics
:
Generate and analyze HR metrics to support decision-making.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).

Experience
: 2+ years of experience as an HR Generalist, prefer experience with multi-state responsibilities.
Experience with multi-state payroll, benefits, and tax administration.
Proficiency in HRIS (Paycor is preferred) and payroll systems.
Familiarity with remote workforce management.
Hours of Operation
Full-time in office - Hastings, MN
Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 5:00PM
