Job description

Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire

Salary: £55,000

The shift pattern – nice and simple:

Monday to Friday, rotating weekly between:
• 6:00am–2:30pm
• 9:30am–6:00pm

1 weekend in every 3: You'll work Saturday & Sunday, 7:00am–3:30pm.

When you work the weekend, you'll get 2 weekdays off the following week, with flexibility around which days you take.

So you'll never work more than 5 days in a week. No nights.

Are you a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for a days-based maintenance role with no night shifts?

We're recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join an established engineering team within a busy manufacturing environment.

You'll be joining a team of five engineers, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager. The role is a good mix of planned maintenance, breakdowns, fault finding and continuous improvement.

They're open on bias too – whether you're stronger electrically or mechanically, they're happy to consider you providing you're comfortable working across both.

What you'll be doing:

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Reactive maintenance and breakdowns
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding
• Diagnosing faults and reducing production downtime
• Maintenance and improvement of production machinery
• Continuous improvement and reliability work
• Engineering projects and equipment modifications
• Supporting contractors when required

What we're looking for:

• Maintenance experience within manufacturing, production, food, FMCG or a similar environment
• Electrical and mechanical maintenance experience
• Strong fault-finding skills
• Experience with PPM and reactive maintenance
• A practical, hands-on approach
• Engineering qualifications are desirable

This Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer position would suit someone looking for a varied maintenance role without having to work nights.

If you're a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for your next move, apply today and I'll be in touch to run through the details.
