Job Description:Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Associate Engineering Support Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment, to perform document control and records management on behalf of project user groups.
The position is based in Brisbane, Australia and is offered on a full time casual basis.
About the roleIn this key administrative position, you will maintain and deliver records/data management services and systems, which may include maintenance of files, archiving, and management of repositories. You'll work closely with engineering, product, and delivery teams and support the Project Engineer to define and activate proper project roles in the Hitachi Rail STS Product Data Management.
What you'll do- Support the Project Engineer to define the project document templates and ensure that they are uploaded in Teamcenter.
- Import in Teamcenter the documentation list planning all the included documents with all the related information.
- Upload in Teamcenter the Product Breakdown Structure (PBS).
- Monitor the presence of links between documents and the related parts within the PBS and ensure the notification of any issues to the project team.
- Ensure all technical deliverables, such as reports, drawings and documents are collected and registered in Teamcenter.
- Perform formal verification of all work products to ensure they are compliant with the required format and standards and are checked and approved by the appointed responsible before transmission to client.
- Support the projects to transfer documents and work products to client, ensuring the compliance with their processes and procedures.
- Print and distribute documents, as necessary.
- Ensure beginners within the Engineering community training on the mandatory company documentation, requirements and configuration management tools.
- Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Expertise in MS Office suite
- Proficiency in English
- Excellent problem-solving skills
