Principal Program Manager - Enterprise Systems Modernization

We are hiring a senior program leader to own the end-to-end delivery and business value of a multi-year enterprise systems modernization program.

This is a permanent, high-visibility role that sits above the functional teams. You don't own day-to-day operations or team headcount — you own the integrated outcome: roadmap, economics, governance, execution, and adoption across order-to-cash and related processes.

Scope of the role:
Leads a cross-functional program spanning Finance, Product, Engineering, Operations, Customer Support, Security, Data, Legal, and external partners.

What you'll own:

• Define and own the program charter, target operating model, multi-year roadmap, integrated plan, business case, and governance
• Lead assessment of current-state core financial platform, integrations, billing/subscription flows, data, controls, and tech debt
• Develop the modernize-vs-replace recommendation for the core ERP/financial platform, including options, risks, and investment case
• Audit all in-flight work, validate value and dependencies, and re-baseline / re-sequence / stop work as needed
• Own program budget, forecasting, resource planning, vendor spend, and benefits realization
• Design the delivery model and lead selection and performance management of systems integrators and specialist vendors
• Lead integrated execution across ERP, billing, payments, subscriptions, revenue ops, integrations, data migration, testing, and cutover
• Establish decision rights, stage gates, RAID, dependencies, and steering committee governance
• Drive process standardization, change management, training, and adoption
• Sustain a continuous improvement roadmap post go-live

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, IT, Engineering or related; or equivalent experience
• 10+ years leading large-scale enterprise / ERP / financial systems transformation programs; 5+ years directly accountable for major ERP modernization
• Track record delivering complex programs from design through migration, deployment, stabilization, and value realization
• Experience building ERP platform business cases and leading retain-vs-replace decisions
• Proven ownership of multi-million dollar budgets, vendor management, and program controls
• Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, quote-to-cash, billing, payments, subscriptions, and revenue operations
• Experience leading matrixed teams without direct authority and influencing at the executive level
• Experience selecting and governing SIs and implementation partners
• Exposure to cloud-based revenue platforms and AI-driven operational efficiencies is a plus
• Experience with US business transformation and multi-entity / multi-currency operations

Preferred:

• Experience with major cloud ERP and iPaaS / integration platforms
• Experience in a SaaS or subscription-based business with customer-facing systems integrated to finance platforms
• Experience recovering or turning around an in-flight transformation
• PMP, PgMP, Prosci, or ERP certification a plus; MBA / advanced degree a plus
