Job Description
CalmHR Inc, a Cambridge-based HR and benefits consulting firm, is seeking a Quality Assurance Assistant to support accurate, compliant delivery of HR, payroll, and benefits services for our clients. In this role, you will execute test plans, validate HRIS and payroll configurations, audit client and employee data, and document defects and issues. You will partner closely with HR consultants to support user acceptance testing, standardize QA procedures, and improve workflows. This position is ideal for detail-oriented professionals eager to deepen expertise in HR technology and operations within a collaborative, client-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute test plans to validate HR, payroll, and benefits system updates and configurations
- Perform data audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance in client records
- Document defects, track issues, and collaborate with consultants and vendors on resolutions
- Support user acceptance testing and gather feedback from internal HR consultants
- Maintain test scripts, checklists, and QA documentation for recurring client processes
- Review reports, imports, and exports for formatting, logic, and data integrity
- Assist with onboarding new clients by validating initial data loads and system settings
- Monitor recurring processes (enrollments, payroll runs, file feeds) for errors or anomalies
- Help standardize QA procedures and recommend improvements to workflows
- Prepare clear QA summaries and communicate risks and findings to project leads
