Lead ServiceNow Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has client in need of a Lead ServiceNow Developer in Burlington, MA.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ongoing development, enhancement, and optimization of the ServiceNow platform
• Evaluate the existing environment to identify functionality gaps, improvement opportunities, and platform priorities
• Define recommendations and help shape the future ServiceNow roadmap
• Design, develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications and functionality
• Build and enhance integrations, workflows, and automation solutions
• Maintain a highly hands-on role, performing development and configuration work directly within the platform
• Expand platform capabilities beyond standard out-of-the-box functionality
• Provide technical direction and guidance to a small development/support team
• Partner with engineering and technology leadership on platform strategy and implementation
• Collaborate with existing ServiceNow resources to coordinate enhancements and changes
• Translate business and technical needs into scalable ServiceNow solutions
• Present platform recommendations, priorities, and technical concepts clearly to both technical teams and senior leadership

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
• ServiceNow certifications are preferred
• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development, configuration, and platform experience
• Strong experience developing and customizing ServiceNow applications, workflows, and functionality
• Experience evaluating existing ServiceNow environments and identifying platform improvements and optimization opportunities
• Ability to develop technical recommendations and contribute to strategic platform roadmaps
• Experience building and supporting ServiceNow integrations and workflow automation
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, configuration, and development best practices
• Experience expanding ServiceNow functionality beyond standard out-of-the-box capabilities
• Ability to balance hands-on development responsibilities with technical leadership and strategic planning
• Experience leading or mentoring developers and providing technical guidance
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and solution-design skills
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions
• Strong communication and presentation skills with both technical teams and senior leadership

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
