Network Engineer

Job Title:            Network Engineer

Location:           Irving, TX 75038 (Onsite) (Other open locations – Nashville, TN / Dallas, TX / East Peoria, IL)

Hire Type:         Contract (13 months+)

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Security Engineering/Architecture, Computer Science, or a related field OR equivalent experience with 5–7 years.

Required Skills:

• Working knowledge of Cyber Security network best practices
• Good knowledge of firewall management and network protocols
• Functional knowledge with CISCO ISE
• Advanced Customer Service Skills (soft skill)

Job Responsibilities:

• Provides daily operational support for network and firewall policy Service Offerings
• Perform Network Access Control Governance Activities utilizing CISCO ISE
• Perform various network improvement and risk reduction initiatives including Network Segmentation, application protection, and hardware refresh initiatives
• Perform duties related to Application Protection and Proxy Policy
• Provides daily operational support and maintenance for one or more products needed to deliver the team's service offerings
• Interfaces with internal process partners to resolve technical issues attributed to products supported by the team
• Perform testing during related change and new process deployment processes and QA prior to production deployment
• Interfaces with internal process partners to resolve technical issues attributed to Firewall and cloud policy service offerings
• Assists the Product Owner(s) in resolving technical matters associated with their product and associated service offerings
• Assists the Product Owner in implementing, maintaining and supporting all technical and process related elements associated with Firewall Policy, Network posture, and our web based portal to realize the team's service offerings.
