Sr IT Business Analyst

Location: Columbus, OH (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday onsite; Monday & Friday remote)

Duration: Contract to hire (6 months +)

Overview

Seeking an experienced Senior IT Business Analyst to support medium to large IT projects. The role requires strong requirements gathering and management capabilities, hands-on process mapping experience, and familiarity with full SDLC delivery (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid). The BA will lead stakeholder interviews and workshops, validate solutions, and support UAT.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead requirements elicitation, documentation, and management activities ensuring end-to-end traceability
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, requirements workshops, scope discussions, and solution validation
• Perform hands-on process mapping (As-Is, To-Be, Business Process Mapping, Value Stream Mapping)
• Support and participate in the full SDLC using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies
• Support and/or coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of Business Analyst or business applications experience supporting medium to large IT projects
• Strong requirements elicitation, documentation, and requirements management skills
• Experience with process mapping techniques (As-Is, To-Be, Value Stream Mapping)
• Experience supporting the full SDLC (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
• Experience leading stakeholder interviews, workshops, scope discussions, and UAT
• Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience
• CCBA or CBAP certification
• Experience with Jira, qTest, or HP ALM
• RFI/RFP experience and vendor / service provider management experience
• Experience coaching or mentoring Business Analysts
• Experience with Hybrid Agile or iterative development practices
