Our client seeks a Public Engagement Manager II to support strategic outreach for large-scale electric transmission projects across Florida. The role will lead stakeholder engagement for low- to medium-risk initiatives, drive external communications that build awareness and trust, and collaborate with internal and external partners to support successful project execution. The manager will serve as a frontline communicator to the public, engage in community and municipal forums, and develop proactive strategies to address potential opposition and issues aligned to project goals.

Rate: $40.00 to $50.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage strategic stakeholder engagement plans that enable successful execution of large, complex transmission projects.
• Engage and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to promote awareness and trust.
• Serve as a core project team member advocating for the public's interests and negotiating mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Develop external communications strategies in coordination with internal stakeholders.
• Create proactive strategies to manage potential opposition related to transmission projects.
• Interact with external stakeholders to identify solutions that support overall project goals.
• Act as frontline communicator between our client and the general public.
• Leverage MS Office skills to produce engagement materials and documentation.

Experience Requirements:

• Public engagement experience serving as a frontline communicator to the general public.
• Experience in the energy sector within community relations, public engagement, or customer-facing communications.
• Experience engaging in community, municipality, or town hall style forums.

Education Requirements:
Degree preferred or equivalent plus experience.
