Job Description

HR Manager | Brownville, NY | On-site

We are hiring on behalf of a leading food distribution company that prides itself on fostering a strong safety culture and a positive employee experience. The Role

  • Cultivate a robust safety culture, emphasizing employee well-being and leadership accountability.
  • Champion employee engagement and a positive work environment, identifying and escalating potential risks.
  • Develop and execute HR plans, advising management on policy interpretation and facilitating training.
  • Support communication and change initiatives for HR and business priorities, driving adoption and results.
  • Lead employee relations investigations, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee recruitment efforts, staffing strategies, onboarding, performance improvement plans, and development plans.

What You'll Need

  • Minimum of 6 years of HR experience, with at least 4 years in a professional, non-administrative capacity.
  • Proven ability to consult with and advise management teams.
  • Strong foundation in core HR fundamentals and practices.
  • Familiarity with key employment legislation (e.g., ADA, FMLA, EEOC, FLSA, Title VII).
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, HRIS systems, and effective presentation skills.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
