Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler with strong FR Y-14M regulatory reporting expertise to support enterprise data management and regulatory reporting initiatives within the banking and financial services domain. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of FR Y-14M reporting requirements, data modeling methodologies, data governance, and banking data domains, with proven experience designing scalable data models that support regulatory compliance, risk management, and reporting needs.

The candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, regulatory reporting teams, data architects, and technology teams to define, model, and govern data required for accurate and timely FR Y-14M submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models supporting FR Y-14M regulatory reporting.

Analyze and interpret Federal Reserve Y-14M reporting requirements and translate them into data model specifications.

Work closely with Regulatory Reporting, Risk, Finance, Data Governance, and Technology teams to identify and document data requirements.

Develop and maintain enterprise data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and data lineage documentation.

Perform data mapping between source systems and regulatory reporting platforms.

Ensure adherence to enterprise data management standards, governance policies, and regulatory requirements.

Conduct gap analysis and data quality assessments to support regulatory compliance initiatives.

Partner with ETL/BI/Data Engineering teams to implement data models and reporting solutions.

Support data reconciliation, validation, and issue resolution activities related to FR Y-14M submissions.

Participate in regulatory audits, examinations, and validation exercises.

Optimize data structures for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Provide recommendations for improving data architecture and reporting processes.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Mathematics, or related field.

8+ years of experience in Data Modeling and Data Management.

3+ years of hands-on experience with FR Y-14M regulatory reporting.

Strong understanding of banking regulatory reporting and risk management frameworks.

Expertise in creating logical and physical data models using industry-standard tools.

Strong SQL skills with experience analyzing large financial datasets.

Experience working with enterprise data warehouses and data lake environments.

Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data lineage concepts.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Familiarity with Collibra, Alation, Informatica, or similar data governance tools.

Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Prior experience in large banking or financial institutions.
