Technical Business Analyst

Location: - onsite 1-3 days/week
Term: 12+ months, high probability to extend

SQL is queries understanding
Interview Process: 2 rounds of interviews - 1st round video, 2nd round onsite - submit only local candidates that can interview onsite

Project/Day to Day:

Primary responsibilities of the Technical Business Analyst include overall coordination and follow up of requirements gathering for Data Management related projects, writing Business Requirements as needed for Agile projects, along with assisting in writing Technical Design and Data Lineage Documents.

This candidate will also be responsible for tracking the progress of projects and related tasks, which will include tracking follow-ups from meetings, assessing the status of related JIRA tasks and coordinating planned releases.
Remote: 1-3 days/week onsite right now come in on Thursdays (other days are optional when you come in) be there by 9am and stay full day

Notes from intake call with Manager:
BA spread out amongst a bunch of projects
Mostly BA work, fairly small team help each other out when we need some help writing SQL queries (not complex queries).
Use Visio today
Evaluating MDM tool in process of a POC for that tool could help on that project
Another big project - recently inherited one of the largest ODS databases and trying to integrate with that team and figure out who uses it
Have a portal they use for all requests can schedule them accordingly
Huge projects over the next 3 years
Everything on their team is from data perspective on these projects, work with the business on Data architecture, data policies, any thing they are doing is being done from a strategic perspective.
Main DB's we use are Oracle and SQL Server for us have several db s we manage in the company
We do have a MongoDB that we are responsible for new to the company
Another plus would be if this person has done any work on the cloud that would be great, we are dipping our toes Azure, AWS. Looking at a lot of tools to purchase. Any cloud experience is helpful.
Technical Business Analyst

This candidate will also be responsible for tracking the progress of projects and related tasks, which will include tracking follow-ups from meetings and scrums, assessing the status of related JIRA tasks and coordinating planned releases.

Responsibilities
Liaison between business users and technical team
Schedule business requirements sessions, document meeting minutes and track follow-ups
Write Business Requirement Documents
Assist with Technical Design and Data Lineage Documents
Ensure Technical Design addresses the Business Requirements
Effectively track the progress across projects and ensure business requirements are being followed
Coordinate planned releases and send out release announcements
Assist in creating, tracking and following up on JIRA tickets
Conduct Stakeholder Interviews and facilitate meetings for requirements elicitation
Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced agile environment managing multiple
priorities

Qualifications
4+ years working as a Technical BA
4+ years working on Agile projects
2-4+ years of SQL experience (Oracle and SQL Server, MongoDB a plus)
4+ years of Data Analysis/Trouble shooting
4+ years writing Business Requirement, Technical Design and Data Lineage Documents - (must be able to figure out a source to target) target/data mapping documents (column A goes to column Z, column B goes to column X, for example)
Ability to interpret business requirements into technical requirements
Strong Meeting Facilitator
Must be able to multi-task effectively
Great organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
