Test Automation / SDET / Python / Pytest

A global investment management firm is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Test Automation to join their engineering team and help build scalable automation solutions that improve data quality, reliability, and efficiency across critical systems. This team leverages advanced analytics, automation, and technology platforms to support sophisticated financial solutions. This role is onsite in Boston, MA 3 days per week.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience developing automation frameworks using Python and Pytest, along with expertise in ETL testing, PostgreSQL validation, CI/CD pipelines, and quality engineering best practices. This is an opportunity to work in a highly technical, data-driven environment while collaborating with experienced engineers and contributing to impactful automation initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience developing automation solutions using Python and Pytest
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining automated test frameworks
• Background testing ETL processes and validating data quality
• Strong proficiency with PostgreSQL/database testing
• Experience working in Windows environments
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong knowledge of software testing principles and quality engineering practices

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with Git/version control systems
• Experience within financial services or investment management environments
• Strong understanding of test strategy, test design techniques, and automation best practices
