Job Description
A leading Canadian financial institution is seeking a hands-on Product Owner to join its Capital Markets Regulatory team in Toronto. This is contract role with the potential to convert to a full-time permanent position. You'll support two Agile Scrum teams responsible for critical client data and regulatory applications.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of products that sit at the intersection of Capital Markets, client data, and regulatory technology. You'll work closely with business and technology stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and help shape the roadmap for applications that support client onboarding, counterparty services, data management, and regulatory reporting. The ideal candidate is someone who can hit the ground running with minimal onboarding and is comfortable operating in a complex, highly regulated environment.
Contract Duration: 6 to 12 Months

Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager within a Capital Markets environment
- Strong understanding of client data, client onboarding, and regulatory reporting
- Experience managing upstream and downstream data processes and dependencies
- Strong SQL skills and the ability to work comfortably with data
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and prioritization skills
- Ability to translate complex business and regulatory requirements into clear product requirements
- Highly autonomous with the ability to hit the ground running with minimal onboarding or training
- Strong understanding of financial services and the complexities of working within a regulated environment
