Systems Engineer | Spring Valley, CA, United States | Hybrid | $107,900.00 - $195,050.00

This employer is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join a world-class team that delivers unmatched maritime solutions. You will be instrumental in advancing critical maritime missions through innovation and rigorous engineering discipline. This role offers the unique opportunity to influence system-level decisions and shape the future of next-generation subsea technologies.

The Role

  • Serve as a technical leader across system architecture, analysis, integration, and verification activities for underwater vehicles and sensor systems.
  • Lead and support efforts including TEMPALT development, ATO packages, and system safety analyses, collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop system-level test strategies and plans, coordinating verification and validation activities across multiple teams.
  • Provide oversight for the Technical Data Package, ensuring technical integrity and compliance with requirements.
  • Perform and review reliability and safety analyses, such as FMEA and FMECA, and ensure findings are documented and mitigated.
  • Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering practices using Cameo for requirements, architecture, and traceability.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to mid-level and junior systems engineers.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Math.
  • 8 years of experience with subsea maritime systems or other integrated electro-mechanical systems.
  • 8+ years of experience leading integrated teams.
  • Exposure to DoD technical program execution.
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
