Sr Cloud Security Engineer

I'm working with a Healthcare technology organization seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to design, automate, and operate cloud security controls within a Microsoft Azure environment. This role will focus on cloud security engineering, automated remediation, identity security, DevSecOps integration, and compliance within a highly regulated environment.
POSITION: AZURE CLOUD SECURITY
LOCATION: DALLAS, 75201 (HYBRID 3 DAYS ONSITE)
DURATION: 6 MONTH CONTRACT TO PERMANENT
SALARY: 155K - 170K DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Engineer and support cloud security platforms including Wiz, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and related Azure security technologies.
• Design automation workflows that move security findings from detection through remediation using APIs, scripting, and event-driven architectures.
• Implement policy-as-code, Infrastructure-as-Code security controls, Azure Policy, and CI/CD security guardrails.
• Secure Azure identity and network environments including Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, PIM, Azure Firewall, NSGs, and Fortinet solutions.
• Partner with DevOps, SRE, and infrastructure teams to improve cloud security posture, incident response capabilities, and compliance readiness.

Requirements
REQUIREMENTS

• 7+ years of information security experience with at least 4 years focused on cloud security.
• Strong Microsoft Azure security experience.
• Experience with Wiz, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Prisma Cloud, Tenable Cloud Security, or similar CSPM/CNAPP platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, PIM, SAML, OAuth2, OIDC, and federated identity.
• Experience with Terraform, ARM templates, Azure Policy, and Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies.
• Strong Python and/or PowerShell scripting skills with experience integrating REST APIs and automation workflows.
• Experience with Azure network security, cloud threat detection, incident response, and security compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, HITRUST, and NIST.
