Business Analyst Profile

Overall need: Approximately 7 BAs, with different allocations across trading, reporting, UI, backend, API/external transmissions, and other areas.

Core skills across the BA population

Strong data analysis and data fluency
Data lineage and data mapping
Understanding of systems of record and system changes
Translating data/system findings into clear business and functional requirements
Experience with data flows, APIs, and business logic
Ability to partner closely with engineering and technical teams
Strong SQL capability
Ability to analyze current-state environments and identify gaps
Strong communication and requirements documentation

Trading-focused BAs

Financial services/trading experience is preferred but not required
Strong technical aptitude; systems analyst background is a plus
Understanding of regulatory environments
Data lineage/mapping experience
Ability to work through complex systems and dependencies
Comfortable going deep technically and then translating findings for business stakeholders

Reporting-focused BAs

Important secondary skill: discovery/networking
