Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior IAM Business Analyst to support an enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) modernization program. The consultant will lead business discovery, requirements gathering, process documentation, and Agile delivery activities to migrate B2B partner applications from legacy identity platforms, including CA SiteMinder and CA Identity Manager, to Microsoft Entra External ID.

The ideal candidate will bridge business stakeholders, application owners, IAM architects, and technical engineering teams to translate complex identity workflows into clear business requirements, functional specifications, and actionable user stories.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Requirements and Application Discovery

• Lead discovery workshops with application owners to document existing authentication, access management, and profile management requirements.

• Inventory application dependencies, user attributes, roles, and access requirements.

• Document B2B partner lifecycle processes, including registration, account creation, profile updates, password recovery, and offboarding.

2. Process Design and Functional Documentation

• Collaborate with IAM architects to develop Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process flows.

• Define requirements for partner self-service registration, delegated administration, and internal employee access.

• Develop user attribute mapping documents, identifying required fields and redundant legacy data.

• Create process diagrams using Visio or Lucidchart.

3. Agile Delivery and Backlog Management

• Develop detailed Agile user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements in Jira.

• Maintain and prioritize the functional backlog in collaboration with project managers and technical teams.

• Facilitate backlog refinement and sprint planning discussions.

• Clarify business requirements and support development teams throughout implementation.

4. UAT, Change Management, and Cutover

• Develop UAT plans, test cases, and business validation scenarios for partner authentication and profile management.

• Coordinate testing with business stakeholders, application teams, and external partner groups.

• Prepare partner onboarding guides, communication materials, helpdesk documentation, and operational support runbooks.

• Support data conversion, data validation, cutover readiness, and knowledge transfer.

5. Collaboration and Best Practices

• Participate in project deliverables as a primary or contributing author.

• Recommend industry best practices and alternative solutions where appropriate.

• Mentor client project team members and support knowledge transfer.

• Provide functional guidance and collaborate with technical teams on implementation and configuration activities as needed.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an IAM Business Analyst, Functional Lead, or in a similar role supporting enterprise IAM initiatives.

• Experience with identity modernization, IAM migration, or cloud identity transformation projects.

• Strong experience with CA SiteMinder and/or CA Identity Manager (CA IdentityMinder).

• Experience with Microsoft Entra External ID, Azure AD/Entra ID, or comparable cloud identity platforms.

• Understanding of B2B partner identity lifecycle management, authentication, authorization, registration, and profile management.

• Experience documenting business requirements, functional specifications, process workflows, and data mapping.

• Proficiency in writing user stories and acceptance criteria using Jira or similar Agile tools.

• Experience developing UAT plans, test scripts, and business validation scenarios.

• Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, analytical, and communication skills.

• Experience with Visio, Lucidchart, or similar process-mapping tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience migrating applications from legacy IAM platforms to Microsoft Entra External ID, Okta, Ping, or similar cloud identity solutions.

• Familiarity with enterprise application integrations, user directories, identity attributes, and data conversion.

• Experience supporting Agile delivery, change management, and production cutover activities.
