Job Description

Job Title: Azure Data Engineer

Location: Grand Rapids, MI 

Contract

Experience: 5–10 Years (5–7 years in Azure Data Engineering)

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain Azure-based data engineering solutions.
  • Build and manage data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, and Synapse Analytics.
  • Perform data transformation using SQL, Python, or Scala.
  • Work with Azure Cosmos DB and Azure data storage services.
  • Support software development, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Analyze existing data flows and recommend data models where needed.
Required Skills
  • 5–10 years of IT experience with 5–7 years in Azure Data Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python or Scala.
  • Experience with Azure Cosmos DB and Azure storage technologies.
  • Knowledge of software testing and SDLC.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, optimize data pipelines, and work independently.
  • Experience in digital marketing or eCommerce data is preferred.

Preferred: Experience analyzing existing data architectures and recommending scalable data models.
