Job Title: Lead Data Engineer with Google Cloud Platform
Location: Detroit, MI (3Days Onsite/Week)
Duration: Contract role

Job Summary:

This Lead Data Engineer will provide technical leadership in designing and implementing a cloud-based data platform on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), consolidating fragmented data sources and enabling a scalable analytics ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  • 7 years of experience in data engineering or platform development
  • Experience leading enterprise data engineering initiatives
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform or other cloud platforms.
  • Serve as technical lead for data engineering, owning architecture and delivery
  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines and models on Google Cloud Platform
  • Lead migration from Alteryx to Google Cloud Platform-based ETL and reporting
  • Define data engineering standards and best practices
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into solutions
  • Lead and mentor distributed data engineering teams
  • Ensure data quality and integrity across systems
  • Heavily leverage Python, SQL, and Google Cloud Platform’s native data services
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning
  • Identify risks and lead mitigation strategies
