Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client that is seeking an IT Controller in Boca Raton, FL.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Reporting:

  • Lead end-to-end accounting operations across multiple entities, business units, and geographic regions
  • Direct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, eliminations, and consolidation activities
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages
  • Oversee consolidated financial reporting, variance analysis, KPI reporting, and executive-level financial insights
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, balance sheet planning, and financial modeling activities
Financial Systems & Technology:
  • Partner with Finance and IT teams to optimize ERP, CPM, reporting, and data management platforms
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, workflow efficiency, reporting accuracy, and close-cycle reduction
  • Leverage SQL, reporting tools, and business intelligence platforms to improve financial visibility and operational decision-making
  • Support data governance, financial data integrity, master data management, and system controls
  • Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes through technology and process redesign
Controls, Governance & Compliance:
  • Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting policies
  • Lead internal control frameworks and financial governance programs
  • Assess reporting risks and implement control enhancements to strengthen compliance and accuracy
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience
  • Experience leading accounting organizations through process transformation, system implementations, or financial modernization initiatives
  • Deep expertise in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, consolidations, close management, and multi-entity accounting environments
  • Strong background working with executive leadership, auditors, lenders, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Proven success building and leading high-performing accounting teams
Technical Skills:
  • U.S. GAAP
  • Financial reporting and consolidations
  • Internal controls and financial governance
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel
  • Financial analysis and forecasting
  • Data-driven decision making
Preferred:
  • ERP platforms (JD Edwards, Oracle, SAP, Dynamics, or similar)
  • CPM/EPM platforms (OneStream, Hyperion, Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, or similar)
  • SQL querying and financial data analysis
  • Power BI or other business intelligence tools
  • Financial systems optimization and reporting automation
  • Data governance and financial analytics

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
