Job Description

Role: Lead Business Analyst

Location: Remote, Duration: 12+ Months

Contract: W2 Only

 Must have a LinkedIn. Candidates should have prior experience working with Life Insurance organizations.

Job Description:
A Senior BA (10+ years of experience in insurance domain) with some Platform Administrator skills who prepares/maintains detailed system requirements including functionality and software architecture. Facilitates the business analysis process and those who are identifying business requirements for system solutions or improved processes that will increase efficiency and overall productivity. This person participates in the process with internal/external customers to determine requirements and create designs to support our Business Process Modeling system. 
Assists with -technical requirements, product requirements, test considerations, operational concerns, and system constraints 

Decision Making:

  • Successful candidate conforms to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.  
  • Interaction with customers and third-party vendors.  In addition, will interact with co-workers, projects teams and upper management for system development.  
  • Prepare decision-making documentation (i.e. business case) for potential new product development approaches 
  • Use Business Process Modeling techniques and tools to create business process models. 
  • Facilitates the elicitation of business and systems requirements, utilizing comprehensive understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. 
  • Provides leadership to analyze business unit requests and understand business requirements. Work with various technical staff members to determine possible solutions and communicate business and system impacts to IT and Operations staff. 
  • Possess well-developed organization skills and the demonstrated ability to multitask, including the ability to manage multiple diverse projects with competing deadlines. 
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or technical procedures.  
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills 
  • Ability to define and develop system requirements 
  • Ability to work in a team environment 
  • Desire to continually improve the quality and efficiency of work 
  • Conducts business process analysis and needs assessments in an effort to align information technology solutions with business initiatives. 
  • Good understanding of data schema concepts on Oracle and DB2 
  • Assist in coordinating requirements within software package development.  
  • Good understanding of JavaScript and web services. 
  • Reporting against DB2 and Oracle databases via SQL tools
