Job Description

Title: Senior SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)
Location: Plano, TX 5 days ONSITE
F2F interview
Rate: $54/hr max on W2
 
We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to contribute to the development of a Casino Management System (CMS) by designing and implementing automated testing solutions that ensure high-quality and reliable software delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation, experience working within Agile teams, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and execute automated test cases for various components of the Casino Management System.
• Focus on functional, integration, and regression testing to ensure product quality.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to understand requirements and define effective testing strategies.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks using tools such as Playwright and Artillery.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to provide rapid feedback on software quality.
• Execute test cases, analyze results, and document findings to identify and communicate defects effectively.
• Participate in manual testing activities when required, including exploratory and usability testing.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and UX/UI teams to establish clear testing criteria and quality standards.
• Recommend and contribute to continuous improvements in software quality processes and testing practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• 7+ years of experience in software testing with a strong emphasis on test automation.
• Hands-on experience creating and maintaining automated testing frameworks for complex applications.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript, with demonstrated experience developing automated test scripts.
• Experience with testing tools and frameworks such as: 
 o Playwright
 o Artillery
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, preferably GitHub Actions.
• Understanding of software testing methodologies and development practices, including: 
 o Agile
 o Test-Driven Development (TDD)
 o Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members across different functions and experience levels.
• Certifications or licenses required by company policy or applicable laws.
