QA Test Engineer

Location: 100% Remote

Role Overview

We are seeking a QA Test Engineer to join our team. This role involves working within an Agile/Kanban hybrid model on two primary projects. The successful candidate will be the dedicated QA resource for a project, responsible for ensuring software quality through manual testing, test case creation, and contributing to automation efforts. This position requires an individual who can work independently and is comfortable within the full software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning meetings to stay updated on project status.
• Develop, document, and execute manual test cases to ensure product quality.
• Work independently as the sole QA resource on a project, taking ownership of all testing activities.
• Create and maintain scripts using Playwright with TypeScript for test automation.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams in a relaxed, team-oriented environment.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

• Proven experience in manual software testing.
• Demonstrated ability to create comprehensive test cases and documentation.
• Experience working independently and managing QA responsibilities for a project.
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) with minimal supervision.

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE:

• 2+ years of overall professional QA experience
• Strong manual testing experience
• Test case creation and documentation experience
• Proficiency in Playwright scripting using TypeScript.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position with optional office access. The team culture is collaborative and operates at a steady pace. You will be part of a team that includes 3-5 developers per project, working in 2-3 week sprints.
