Job Description

Title: Senior SDET Automotive Engineer with Python

Location: Dearborn, MI
Work Arrangement: Primarily Onsite
Experience: 2–7 years

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior SDET Engineer to lead test automation and validation efforts supporting OTA and connected vehicle testing platforms. The engineer will design and enhance automation frameworks, lead technical investigations, perform root-cause analysis, and drive test environment stability and automation readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance test automation frameworks.
  • Develop advanced Python-based automation solutions.
  • Lead technical investigations and root-cause analysis.
  • Drive test environment stability and automation readiness.
  • Develop and execute automated validation strategies.
  • Analyze logs and troubleshoot complex system and software issues.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote automation best practices.
  • Partner with engineering stakeholders to achieve validation objectives.
  • Improve test efficiency, reliability, and automation coverage.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and test evidence.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • 2–7 years of experience in software test automation, validation, or quality engineering.

Preferred Industry Experience

  • Other high-reliability product development environments

Strong experience with OTA validation, connected vehicles, ECU, or embedded software is highly preferred.
