Test Engineer
Location: Pensacola, Florida (Hybrid)
Role Overview
The Test Engineer will help establish, standardize, document, and continuously improve testing methodologies for data feed onboarding, production deployments, and defect remediation. This role will lead the development of testing standards, data validation strategies, and Azure DevOps (ADO) governance processes. The objective is to support consistent, repeatable, and audit-ready testing practices and build out procedures to ensure completeness in testing.
Key Responsibilities

• Create Test Plan documents.
• Perform analysis, interpret results, and present findings, potential root causes, risks, and downstream impacts.
• Ensure clear and effective communication, including progress reports, test case documentation, and defect reporting.
• Coordinate and perform testing of moderate to highly complex data feeds, data integrations, and transformation processes.
• Participate in sizing and estimation for projects and changes.
• Create and update manual test scripts within approved test tools.
• Design scalable test scenarios supporting source-to-target validation, business process validation, and production validation.
• Provide detailed documentation of defects and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with developers, business partners, and other stakeholders to ensure business needs are met.
• Provide recommendations related to testing practices to facilitate process optimization.

Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in technology and data validation testing. Experience following Systems Development Life Cycles is required.
Technical Skills: Working knowledge of relational databases, SQL query development, data profiling, and data quality validation is necessary. Advanced knowledge of testing processes, including creating a test plan and opening bugs, is required. Experience with Azure DevOps Test Plans and Defect Management is also needed.
Preferred Qualifications

• ISTQB Foundation level certification (CTFL).
• ISTQB Advanced level certifications (Agile Testing, Test Analyst, Test Manager).
• Certification in Scaled Agile Framework (e.g., Leading SAFe, PO/PM).
