Recruiter & HR Generalist

The Recruiter & HR Generalist leads full-cycle hiring and supports core HR operations in a growing, mission-driven nonprofit. This role partners with managers to define roles, source and evaluate candidates, manage ATS and HRIS data, and coordinate onboarding, benefits support, and people programs. The position uses data and technology to improve recruiting, strengthen employee experience, and help build scalable people processes in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruiting from intake through accepted offer.
• Partner with hiring managers to define hiring needs and interview processes.
• Source, assess, and engage candidates while ensuring a consistent candidate experience.
• Administer day-to-day HRIS updates and maintain accurate employee data.
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding across internal stakeholders.
• Support benefits administration and payroll-related employee changes.
• Coordinate performance management, surveys, training, and employee events.
• Develop and maintain people metrics and reports to inform decisions.
