MARKETING MANAGER

Position Summary

The Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the daily execution of Simply Ride's marketing efforts while actively contributing as a hands-on member of the marketing team. This is a working manager position that combines team management, project management, and marketing execution. Simply Ride operates on EOS/Traction, and this role works within that system — supporting the Marketing Director's Rocks and priorities and helping the department run with clear accountability.

Working closely with the Marketing Director, the Marketing Manager transforms marketing strategy into action by managing priorities, coaching team members, and personally leading key marketing initiatives. This role is expected to roll up their sleeves and contribute meaningful work alongside the team while ensuring marketing projects are completed on time, on brand, and aligned with dealership goals. Primary Responsibilities

Team Management (25%)

Manage and coach the marketing team.
Assign work and balance team workloads, removing roadblocks to help team members succeed.
Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Work with the Marketing Director on hiring, onboarding, and employee development.
Hands-On Marketing Execution (50%)

Personally execute high-impact marketing initiatives, including

Plan and execute major marketing campaigns, dealership promotions and seasonal initiatives.
Write marketing copy and promotional messaging.
Own website performance as Simply Ride's primary digital sales channel, leading ongoing optimization, user experience improvements, SEO/AEO and conversion performance.
Own digital marketing, including customer lifecycle campaigns, email, text messaging, automated journeys and ongoing CRM and performance optimization.
Evaluate and implement practical AI tools that improve marketing effectiveness, customer experience and team efficiency.
Support dealership events and community initiatives.
Marketing Operations & Project Management (25%)

Manage the marketing calendar and campaign timelines to ensure projects launch on schedule.
Prioritize incoming marketing requests and coordinate projects across Sales, Service, Parts, Inventory, and Finance.
Monitor marketing performance, track KPIs and recommend improvements
Improve departmental workflows and processes.
Maintain quality, consistency, and brand standards across all customer-facing marketing.
Coordinate day-to-day execution with marketing vendors and technology partners.
Work with the Marketing Director to create, manage, and update the marketing budget.
Qualifications

Required
3–5+ years of marketing experience with at least 1–2 years in a management or team-lead capacity
Hands-on experience owning a website as a revenue/lead-generation channel — SEO, UX, conversion optimization (not just content updates)
Experience with CRM-driven marketing — lifecycle campaigns, email/text automation, lead nurture workflows
Demonstrated project management skills — running multiple concurrent campaigns/initiatives against a calendar and deadlines
Strong marketing copywriting ability
Comfort managing vendor relationships and holding outside partners accountable to deliverables
Preferred
Experience in automotive, powersports, or another high-consideration retail/dealership vertical
Familiarity with EOS/Traction or a similar operating system (Rocks, Scorecards, L10s)
Experience evaluating or implementing AI tools in a marketing context
Budget management experience — building, tracking, and adjusting a departmental budget
Experience coaching or developing a small marketing team (1–3 people)
