Controller - Growing QSR Franchise Group

A growing QSR franchise organization is seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting function and help establish a new corporate office in Miami.

This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for the complete accounting operation, including financial reporting, close processes, AP/AR, payroll, internal controls, audit preparation, and multi-entity consolidation. The Controller will work closely with the CFO and help build the accounting infrastructure needed to support the organization’s continued growth and expansion.

Controller Responsibilities

• Lead all core accounting functions, including the general ledger and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
• Maintain strong internal controls and accounting accuracy across multiple locations and entities
• Manage accounting systems, including QuickBooks and Restaurant365
• Partner with the CFO on audit preparation and serve as a key contact throughout the audit process
• Support lender, board, and investor reporting requirements
• Consolidate financial results across multiple entities and business lines
• Collaborate with operations and finance leaders on store-level and consolidated reporting
• Lead, develop, and support accounting team members

Controller Qualifications

• Proven experience leading full-cycle accounting operations
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial statement preparation, and close processes
• Experience with multi-unit or multi-entity accounting
• Restaurant franchise experience is preferred
• Experience with Restaurant365 and QuickBooks is strongly preferred
• Background supporting external audits and lender, board, or investor reporting
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• CPA designation is preferred
• Ability to work in-office in Miami
