Job Description

Job Title: Junior Automation Developer / Senior Automation Developer

Location: WA

Duration: Longterm Contract
Summary:

As a Senior Automation Developer at Client, you will play a key role in advancing the credit union's intelligent automation strategy by identifying, designing, developing, and implementing enterprise automation solutions. You will serve as a technical leader responsible for architecting scalable and resilient automation solutions that streamline operations, enhance accuracy, reduce costs, and improve the member experience.

Working closely with business stakeholders, business analysts, developers, IT teams, and management, you will lead automation initiatives from discovery through deployment and support. In addition, you will help establish development standards, mentor junior developers, and contribute to the governance and long-term success of client automation portfolio.

Principal Accountabilities

Business Process Analysis & Solution Architecture: Partner with business stakeholders, process owners, and analysts to evaluate opportunities for automation and identify solutions that align with organizational objectives. Translate business requirements into scalable automation designs and technical specifications.

Automation Development & Technical Leadership: Design, develop, test, and deploy complex automation solutions using UiPath and related technologies. Establish development standards, reusable components, and best practices to ensure consistency, scalability, and maintainability across the automation portfolio.

Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to automation developers. Conduct code reviews, offer guidance on solution design, and support team development through coaching and knowledge sharing.

Testing & Quality Assurance: Lead testing efforts including unit, integration, user acceptance, and performance testing. Ensure solutions meet business requirements, security standards, and quality expectations prior to deployment.

Documentation & Process Governance: Maintain and oversee comprehensive technical and operational documentation, including solution design documents, process definition documents, support documentation, and operational procedures.

Systems Integration: Design and implement integrations between automation solutions, enterprise applications, APIs, databases, and third-party platforms to enable seamless business operations.

Monitoring, Support & Continuous Improvement

Monitor production automations, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement enhancements to improve performance, reliability, and business value. Analyze automation metrics and opportunities for optimization.

Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all automation solutions comply with applicable regulatory requirements, information security standards, audit controls, and organizational governance frameworks.

Strategic Automation Portfolio Support: Collaborate with leadership to prioritize automation opportunities, estimate effort and value, establish technical roadmaps, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the Intelligent Workflows program.

Required Skills and Abilities

Advanced Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise automation solutions using UiPath. Strong understanding of automation architecture, orchestration, exception handling, APIs, databases, and systems integration.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex business processes, identify automation opportunities, and develop efficient, scalable solutions. Understanding of financial services operations and regulatory requirements preferred.

Leadership & Mentorship: Ability to provide technical leadership, mentor team members, influence stakeholders, and drive automation best practices across the organization.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Attention to Detail: Strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and operational excellence when developing and maintaining business-critical automations.

Collaboration: Ability to work effectively across multiple business units, technology teams, and leadership levels while fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Required qualifications and education:

Required Experience

Experience within financial services, banking, or credit union operations.

Experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale automation solutions.

Experience working with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications and Education

Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Certifications

UiPath RPA Developer Professional Certification (or equivalent).

RPA Advanced Developer Certification obtained within one year

UiPath Solution Architect Certification preferred.

Certification obtained within one year

Additional certifications related to automation, cloud technologies, project management, or software development are a plus.

Working Conditions

This position will be required to work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, and, with or without reasonable accommodation is required:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a minimum of 75% of the time

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machines

Occasionally ascends/descends stairs

Constantly positions self in work environment

The person in this position frequently communicates with peers, supervisors, vendors, and employees to exchange accurate information and answer questions

Must be able to detect objects at a distance

On occasion will move up to 20 pounds of office objects

Works in an indoor office environment but expected to attend meetings in buildings that require travel in outdoor weather conditions
