Location: Adelaide - Hybrid
Contract: 6 months initially, with extensions likely
We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to support the development, review and update of technical documentation, work instructions and procedures within a large operational environment.
The role will work closely with a range of stakeholders, including site teams, vendors, training, reliability, supervisors and project delivery, to ensure documentation is accurate, practical and aligned with governance requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and update technical documentation, work instructions and procedures.
- Review and validate existing documentation with relevant site and technical stakeholders.
- Create maintenance work instructions covering different installation types and maintenance activities.
- Update maintenance training documentation for end users.
- Rewrite and improve procedures within an Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Ensure documents meet required formatting, governance and document-control standards.
- Manage and incorporate review comments through to final sign-off.
- Conduct peer reviews of technical documentation.
- Liaise with technical and operational stakeholders to gather and validate information.
- Ensure documentation is clear, accurate, consistent and fit for operational use.
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer, Document Writer, Documentation Specialist or similar.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
- Experience creating work instructions, procedures, maintenance documentation or training materials.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience working within structured document governance and document-control environments.
- Ability to understand technical information and translate it into clear, user-friendly documentation.
- IT knowledge, particularly networking and communications, would be desirable.
- Experience within mining, resources, engineering, maintenance or other industrial environments would be advantageous.
