Job Description

Seeking a hands-on Full Stack Lead Developer to lead the technical design and development of an enterprise Intermodal integration portal. The role will be hands on developer and also provide technical guidance while actively contributing to backend, frontend, API, integration, and deployment development.
Key Responsibilities

  • Review technical design and lead team questions on design and hands-on full-stack development.
  • Design and develop Java 21 / Quarkus microservices and REST APIs.
  • Lead frontend development using TypeScript with Angular and/or React.
  • Design integration patterns for NS and external partner systems.
  • Guide event-driven/messaging integrations using Kafka or equivalent enterprise messaging technologies.
  • Establish coding, API, error-handling, logging, and development standards.
  • Lead code/design reviews and mentor developers.
  • Support containerized deployment using Kubernetes/OpenShift/EKS.
  • Partner with architecture, DevOps, QA, Product Owners, and application SMEs.
  • Troubleshoot complex end-to-end application and integration issues.

Core Skills

  • 14+ years overall development experience with technical leadership experience.
  • Strong Java 21 / Java microservices experience.
  • Strong Quarkus or comparable Java microservices framework experience.
  • Strong REST API and integration architecture experience.
  • Strong TypeScript + Angular and/or React experience.
  • Strong Kafka/event-driven architecture knowledge.
  • Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift/EKS.
  • Experience with Git/GitHub, Jenkins and CI/CD.
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical leadership skills.
  • Transportation, logistics, railroad, Intermodal or B2B integration experience is preferred.
