Position Summary

The Hands-On SME Neo4j Data Architect will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our graph database solutions using Neo4j.
This role requires deep technical expertise in Neo4j and graph database architecture, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing complex data projects and delivering robust, scalable data architectures.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Design, develop, and implement Neo4j graph database solutions to support business requirements and strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into effective graph database solutions.
  • Exposure to Neo4j/ graph cdc technology to sync to any other relational data source .
  • Exposure to Neo4j/ sharding techniques.
  • Lead the architecture and design of data models, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Develop and enforce best practices for data management, data governance, and data quality in the context of graph databases.
  • Perform hands-on coding and development tasks, including writing Cypher queries, data migrations, and integrations with other data systems.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of Neo4j databases, including index management, query optimization, and capacity planning.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers and developers.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in Neo4j and graph database technologies, and evaluate their applicability to our data strategy.
  • Document and communicate the architecture, design decisions, and processes to stakeholders and team members.

  • *Qualifications:**
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture, with at least 3 years focused on Neo4j and graph databases.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Neo4j, including Cypher query language, data modeling, and performance tuning.
  • Strong understanding of graph theory and its practical applications in various business domains.
  • Proficiency in data integration, ETL processes, and data pipeline development.
  • Experience with other database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and familiarity with data warehousing concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage projects, with a track record of delivering high-quality results on time.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., snowflake, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

  • *Preferred Qualifications:**
  • Experience in translating graph model to relation model like Snowflake.
  • Neo4j Certified Professional or similar certifications.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and its integration with graph databases.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
