Job Description

Position: Mainframe z/OS System Programmer

Location: Plano, TX

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Job Description:
Must Have Skills:

  • Expertise in performing SMPE and Non SMPE Installation of ISV products
  • Expertise in IBM and Broadcom Software product Install and Upgrades
  • Mastery of zOS system commands, utilities, and automation tools.

Nice to have skills:

  • Operating system zOS V2.5 upgrades or later with zOSMF workflow execution.
  • IODF, HCD Skillset to add new devices.

Detailed Job Description:

  • Perform standard system programming activities like configuration, installation maintenance using SMPE, and vendor software installations in the mainframe environment.
  • Perform Operating System upgrade and RSU maintenance via zOSMF Workflow.
  • Advanced System Management Architect, install, and configure highly complex zOS environments and third-party software.
  • Support Software Standardization and new Feature implementations.
  • Support other team storage management, performance tuning, capacity planning,

Education: At least a bachelor s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required.
