Senior Database Developer - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Database Developer for a hybrid position (3 days per week onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
This role will be a key member of a data technology platform development team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with extensive experience in system design, data warehousing, and performance tuning for large-scale data systems. This position requires a thought leader who can partner effectively with both technology and business stakeholders to implement robust solutions.
Responsibilities:

• Act as a key member of the development team on a GTS Data Technology platform
• Design data systems with minimal direction or guidance
• Partner with technology and business associates to implement solutions
• Handle large data volumes and implement performance tuning
• Multitask and work independently on project tasks

Requirements:

• 15+ years of total experience as a Developer
• Expert knowledge in Oracle/Exadata and Oracle SQL/PLSQL
• Proficiency with Python
• Strong knowledge of the project life cycle, Data Warehousing, and Dimensional Data Modeling
• Experience with ETL processing concepts
• Proven experience handling large data volumes and performance tuning
• Strong leadership, communication, writing, and relationship skills
• Excellent analytical and logical skills
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite in Plano, TX

Desired skills:

• Business acumen with knowledge of the Payment domain (International and US)
• Experience with Starburst

Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
