Position: Business Analyst with Payments

Location: Chicago, IL onsite

Duration: Contract Role.

Job Description

Experience & Domain Knowledge

• 9–12 years of relevant experience with strong knowledge of payment products, including Cross-Border Payments, Wires, ACH, and Real-Time Payments.
• In-depth understanding of ISO 20022 payment messages, SWIFT, and Wire formats.
• Ability to understand different industry standards, assess their relevance, and identify potential client impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Map user stories to the delivery scope and business value of features defined by business stakeholders.
• Perform detailed analysis of user stories and collaborate with partner systems to reach agreement on various mapping documents and communication protocols.
• Work closely with Development and Testing teams to explain and elaborate user stories and business requirements.
• Support Development and Testing teams throughout the respective development and testing phases.
• Perform test case reviews to ensure alignment with business requirements.
• Organize and drive user story walkthrough sessions with business stakeholders.
• Maintain and manage the user story backlog.
• Produce high-level and detailed impact assessments to support effort estimation for work packages.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Payments, particularly Cross-Border Payments, Wires, ACH, and Real-Time Payments.
• Strong understanding of ISO 20022, SWIFT, and Wire payment formats.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
