Job Description

IFP Motion Solutions is looking for an Engineering Coordinator to join their team! The Engineering Coordinator is the vital coordination point between IFP's customers, Engineering, Purchasing, and the production floor. The role receives, expedites, and tracks production orders and their components and processes, keeping bills of material, pricing, and delivery commitments accurate from order entry through shipment. The Engineering Coordinator is the day-to-day contact for customers on order status and is accountable for the paperwork, releases, and vendor coordination that keep scheduled work moving on time.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Management and Expediting:

  • Receives, expedites, and tracks production orders and their components and processes.
  • Verifies that bills of material and pricing are current and correct on every order.
  • Manages order acknowledgements.
  • Communicates status updates and answers customer questions.
  • Monitors production delays and deadlines to protect on-time delivery commitments.

Production and Vendor Coordination:

  • Coordinates production release and drawings with the shop.
  • Issues purchase orders to vendors for parts and outside processes required by production orders.
  • Works with Production and Purchasing so scheduled work has the components and processes it needs to start on time.

Shipping and Documentation:

  • Completes shipping paperwork for finished orders.
  • Processes miscellaneous requests from engineers and customers.
  • Performs document file management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in customer service.
  • Two years of background in an industrial or technical environment.
  • Demonstrated organizational skill.
  • Exceptional computer aptitude with a strong working knowledge of Excel.
  • Must be detail-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
