Full Stack Java Developer - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Full Stack Java Developer for a hybrid position (3 days per week) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
We are seeking a talented Full Stack Developer with strong Java programming skills and front-end experience with Node.js & React.js. This role will support the development, release, and production deployment of iOS and Android applications, and will be responsible for designing and building next-generation mobile applications. Duties may include collaborating with the design team for new application features, identifying and fixing application bottlenecks, maintaining the core code, and updating applications.
Responsibilities:

• Writing Splunk Queries
• Ensuring quality and performance of the application to specifications
• Identifying potential problems and resolving application bottlenecks
• Fixing application bugs before the final release
• Publishing application on the App Store
• Designing and implementing application updates
• Maintaining the code and atomization of the application

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering
• 5+ years of experience as a Full-stack developer with Java Programming as a primary skill
• Expert level Java web application developer with React.js and Node.js including Restful APIs
• Experience with Application Servers: Tomcat and WebSphere is a MUST
• Good exposure to JDBC and SQL queries
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts
• Good knowledge of Data structures and Algorithms
• Proficient in Swift, Objective-C, Web Services, Rest Services, Core Java, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, XML
• Experience designing web applications and JSON Services
• Knowledge/exposure of iOS and/or Android back-end services
• Knowledge of Apple and/or Android design principles and application interface guidelines
• Proficient in code versioning tools including Git and Bitbucket

Desired skills:

• Experience building deployment automation and release management tooling
• Knowledge of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices
• Familiarity with enterprise mobile application delivery processes
• Ability to operate effectively during critical production releases and incident situations
• Experience with continuous integration & Unit tests
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong focus on troubleshooting and issue resolution
• Swift, Kotlin, Python, or scripting experience

Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
